I have so many jackets that I often "lose" the rest of my clothes in my closet.  I had forgotten about this dress, mostly because of its flaws.  It's super sheer, short, and the back is dipped low enough that it often falls off my shoulders.  Needless to say, it's one of my least favorite purchases.  That's what happens when you buy things on sale.  Still, I love combining soft and hard looks.  I enjoy walking the line between sweet and whatever it is people think I am when I don black and skulls. 

I'm really into fascinators again.  My lifelong dream is to be a fancy lady in fur, pearls, gloves, and hats.  But the love for black, leather and spikes is too strong.  As is my attraction to flashy sequins and neon colors. 

I'm just a fashion mess.

(In case you were wondering, my hair is so big because it's full of secrets.)

This is my favorite dress. I wear it to travel on planes, or cars because it's slightly dressy but casual enough to look normal.  I have a thing for full skirts and I enjoy how this one falls despite it having no tulle underskirt.

I don't know if I have discussed my weakness for tights.  I have way too many of them.  They are currently stuffed under my bed in an overflowing plastic bin.  They range from practical winter ones to neon orange fishnets, and white tights with black hearts.  So of course, I couldn't avoid buying these when I first saw them.  They appeared a little after the ombre obsession happened a few years ago.  And again, it took finding the right outfit for them.  I wore them to school once, but it was with the wrong shoes.  The darker part of the ombre just made my legs look scrawny and out of proportion.

I wanted to wear this outfit to see if it was suitable to wear on my flight home.  I hate having to plan my outfits around socks, so tights seem like the next big thing.  No one wants to be barefoot when taking off your shoes at the airport.

I was meaning to have my skirts modeled on a person instead of a dress form, but it took a while.  I finally made myself do it while struggling with a tripod that can't stand the weight of the camera anymore.

 I'm still not sure why I bought this fabric.  It was an impulse buy, which usually happens when I have money to spend.

 I still love this skirt.  This was a good impulse buy, fabric-wise.  I was in the tulle section of the store, near the velvet/dupioni area, when I spotted this.  Plaid was never my thing, but pink always is.

My hair was a mess this day, but the focus was supposed to be my skirt.  I decided to take it off my store and keep it for myself because it wasn't hanging the way I wanted it to.  I've been wanting a striped skirt so this should keep me semi-happy for a while.  I also wanted one last chance to wear a jacket that has never been outside before.  I got it on sale at Burlington Coat Factory in my old college town, though I was really wanting a red moto jacket.  I settled on this, so I ended up adding studs and spikes to it years later, hoping to make it more interesting.

I love this skirt.  I'm tempted to keep it, but can't for obvious reasons.  The fabric is polyester shantung or dupioni.

I got this flocked taffeta at Hobby Lobby a couple of years ago.  I used to be obsessed with iridescent fabrics, so this leopard one was a no-brainer.  I used satin ribbon for the hem instead of regular grosgrain.
