Sequin jacket: Forever 21
Top: A'gaci
Skirt: AEO
Taking photos indoors has not been working for me. I need to go outside and deal with my make-up melting and the crazy bugs.
I felt like being a tacky mess this day. I have so many pretty things that I'm always too afraid to wear. Finding outfits for "statement pieces" like sequin jackets takes so long, and I am just so impatient.
I still haven't picked up those pins I dropped. Oh well.

Dress: Iron Fist
Jacket: Tov
Studded brogues: Pixie Market
My hair was so big today, probably because it could sense the humidity in the air. It worked out just fine, as it allowed me to wear this headband that is usually too dramatic for my flat hair.
This was my first attempt to break in these lovely shoes I bought a week ago.
They're leather, which is the worst when it comes to stiffness. I wore them to go grocery shopping (typical adult stuff that ended up being two trips), and the back of my ankles were bleeding by the time I got home. So many of my shoes have scarred me, and yet I keep coming back.
I recently cleaned my sewing area, though you can still see the pins I dropped a few nights ago. I'm always knocking stuff over when I'm in a rush. The lilac ruffles you see on the floor off the to the side, is one of my WIP dresses. It's currently on the floor, because I'm lazy and low on hangers. Plus, it's for me, so I treat it like crap.
The wedding dress process has begun. I tried drafting my own pattern instead of just using my sloper, and it was a mess. Never try measuring yourself. Always have someone else do it. The front came out looking like a sloper, but the back was a disaster. I gave up. My muslin ended up too big. Apparently, I suck at eyeballing my measurements, while trying to look in a mirror. So the second round starts now, which is basically just me doing a SBA, small bust adjustment, and hoping it works. Curse my dress form for having bigger boobs than me.

Slip dress, necklace: Forever 21
Shoes: UrbanOg
Headband: Love Culture
I was melting trying to take those pictures outside. It's difficult to tell if an image comes out right when all the sun is in your face.
I decided to pose with my dress form, though I never named it.. Nothing ever feels right, and I've never been good at dealing with potentially cheesy things. So it goes unnamed, just a shape of a thin girl with big boobs who sometimes scares me in the middle of the night. There's nothing quite like seeing a headless silhouette when you're half-asleep.
I've been hating my hair/face/clothes lately, so I've been uninspired to do much. Why couldn't I have been a hairstylist? So much has gone wrong with my hair, and it ends up ruining outfits. Much like my face. Soon, I'll be starting on the long process of making my wedding dress. Wish me luck.

Cardigan, skirt, shoes: Forever 21
Shirt: TJ Maxx
This is one of my outfits to work, (minus the shoes). I try to dress as cute as possible, while still looking appropriate. The old ladies always love the way I look.
It's funny that I got rid of most of my "frumpy" stuff that could've worked well for my job. It was too long or too conservative, which obviously isn't my style. And now I'm stuck needing to buy clothes that I don't really want and finding boring stuff "cute" when I would've totally walked past it before. The thought,"This would be cute for work.." is a new one.
Dress: Forever 21
Bow: Bodyline
Shoes: Outsider (Modcloth)
Finally got around to chopping off my scraggly ends. I miss the length, but it's just one step closer to getting the hair I want. My boyfriend thinks it's ridiculous that I'm growing out my hair only to destroy it again. Boys never understand hair problems.
I've been cursed with short, muscular legs, so I was considering selling these shoes for a while. They cut me at an unfortunate angle and make me look out of proportion. It turns out all I needed was a super short dress. And I have plenty. I'm torn on whether or not I want to stud them, but that's the case with every shoe I own.

Cardigan: Love Culture
Dress: Asos
Shoes: ioffer.com
Fascinator hat: http://dreaming_nightmares.storenvy.com/
I have so many jackets that I often "lose" the rest of my clothes in my closet. I had forgotten about this dress, mostly because of its flaws. It's super sheer, short, and the back is dipped low enough that it often falls off my shoulders. Needless to say, it's one of my least favorite purchases. That's what happens when you buy things on sale. Still, I love combining soft and hard looks. I enjoy walking the line between sweet and whatever it is people think I am when I don black and skulls.
I'm really into fascinators again. My lifelong dream is to be a fancy lady in fur, pearls, gloves, and hats. But the love for black, leather and spikes is too strong. As is my attraction to flashy sequins and neon colors.
I'm just a fashion mess.
(In case you were wondering, my hair is so big because it's full of secrets.)

Top: Lip Service
Jacket: Evil Twin
Skirt: Forever 21
This blouse is one of my favorite purchases. It was on sale for about $60, which I initially thought was ridiculous for something sheer, but it was just too awesome to pass up. It has a high collar, but I usually leave it open because it's a bit suffocating.
I'm impatiently waiting for summer to end so I can wear all of my jackets and boots.

Top: Papaya
Skirt: Forever 21
Shoes: GoJane
Since it's summer hell here in Texas, I've been trying to go without my trusty sequin jacket. Bare shoulders is such a difficult concept to me as I've been self-conscious about them my entire life. But it's getting easier.
I was feeling dark lipstick for this outfit, though it's a harsh contrast against the light, dusty pink. I wanted to be one of those girls who wears it with everything.
This weather has my hair as a giant ball of frizz and baby curls. There is no escape. Hopefully the next time I'll post, I'll have had a haircut.

Bodysuit: GoJane
Skirt: Bodyline
Shoes: Priveleged
Jacket: Forever 21
Suffering through the summer heat even in thin layers. Texas is the worst. I'll be going home in a few days. I packed for a week, as though I'll have something to do everyday instead of just sit at home on Tumblr. The weather back home is usually in the 100s, but at least it's mostly dry heat. Maybe I'll start wearing my hair up if I get desperate.
Corset: Frederick's of Hollywood
Skirt: Handmade
(Brocade skirt with yellow organza overlay panels and exposed zipper at center back)
Adding this mini skirt to my etsy shop. It was originally part of an unfinished dress for my senior collection, and I just detached it and fixed it up. It's really small for my in-between sizes waist, so I figured one of my abandoned corsets would come in handy. I really need a model for these things, but it doesn't feel right having one for anything I can do. Plus, I'm broke. Like most of my skirts, it is inappropriately short. You can't bend or lean in these things.

Headband, collar, dress: Ebay
Boots: Hot Topic (spikes added by me)
Caught mid-spin. (You can see where the heel of my boots is torn from wear.)
I went through a phase when I was obsessed with Ebay and was buying things just for the hell of it. I've managed to sell or donate most of the things from those years, but it seems ridiculous looking back on it. Now that I've joined the rank of the broke, shopping has made me even more picky than before. I have to weigh my purchases carefully before committing.
This was one of my favorite "casual" dresses during fall/winter before I got tired of it. Sometimes I wear things to the point that I think I look terrible in them. I was also at one point obsessed with these boots. They originally came with just pyramid studs, and then I decided I wanted spiky boots. Several days later, they were awesome and heavy. They're at a weird height, so it's difficult to find the right proportional outfit for them, but they're fun anyway. I didn't even care that they were falling apart when I decided to upgrade them.
